Berry Timeline Illustration for Edible Magazine

I recently had the opportunity to work with Edible Magazine on their summer ‘Blue’ issue. The project was to create a visual article for the recurring section ‘Last Bite’, and we decided to focus on BC’s berry season.

I hashed out a few sketches of a more traditional timeline but reflected on being a little kid reading Goldilocks and the Three Bears. The version I had included an illustration of a Goldilocks who’d hung bunches of cherries over her ears like a pseudo earring, and it’s always been a quirky memory that stuck with me. So, after being encouraged to make the image more ‘lou’, I thought I’d play around with that idea, and landed here. I hope you find it as summery and fun as I do!
